Whitmore Administration Building
From UMassWiki
The Whitmore Administration Building is a bunker-like 3 story structure located adjacent to Herter and Munson and is the headquarters of the University Administration. It is also the place where students have to go if they need to register for classes, pay or dispute bills, request housing assignments, and apply for, change, and appeal financial aid.
[edit] List of offices
This list is currently incomplete. Please edit this page and add more links to offices.
The Bursar's Office is the place where bill-related problems are dealt with and payments are made. Also, excess checks are distributed there (if you get enough financial aid).
The Dean of Students Office manages the student disciplinary system (and deals with the most serious cases), as well as providing help to students with problems with other Whitmore offices, and also administers Veteran's Affairs, for military veterans (or reservists) who receive GI Bill benefits and tuition waivers.

[edit] Trivia
Whitmore is nicknamed "Waitmore" or "Whitless" by students due to the RMV/DMV level of customer service that (on occasion) students experience there. "The Whitmore Shuffle" is a slang term to describe the process of standing in line for one office, then, after waiting in line, being told they need to go to another office, then having the process repeated at the next office they go to, and so on and so forth.
You can help UMassWiki by adding to it. Even if you don't know wiki markup, it's okay. Just click the edit link or tab, type what you want, and somebody will come along and clean things up if it doesn't look pretty.
UMassWiki survives on contributions from people just like you.
