Thanks to the COM352 students for contributing a bunch of new pages! I'll be moving these pages into the main area of the wiki soon.

[edit] questioning taste?

So, you accidentally posted on John?'s User Page which is different than his User Talk Page. When you follow a signature, you arrive at the person's User Page, then you have to click on the tab that says "discussion" in order to get to the page for messages. No worries - you'll learn! :-) steph (COM) 11:38, 18 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] from Steph

Welcome, FlyingScotsman, to the course wiki! Don't neglect to read through the information and follow the links provided above. I included the code for "Table of Contents" so you can copy it if/when you want. Also, don't forget to check out changes to the Homepage! steph (COM) 11:32, 18 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] what's up

a few industrious students posted comments without signing their usernames. Shall we hunt them down? One (or two?) are on Tom's discussion/user talk page and another one is on Annerrs' discussion/user talk page. steph (COM) 12:36, 18 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] wiki editing

Hmmm. First of all, your application did not follow directions. Ideas? Second, you need to fix your User Page (as does John?), and third, post the link that so far only Annerrs has done as assigned. When you get all of this done, let the wikiteam know at Not so fast. Then post a message to alert me on my userpage, ok? steph (COM) 21:01, 11 March 2007 (EDT)

DUDE! Get in there! Hurry up!!!! steph (COM) 22:56, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
The fact that you know HTML is great, however, you have not demonstrated to me that you know how to follow the guidelines in here, and you have not yet fixed the problems I identified. Editing is a huge responsibility, it requires attention to detail and significant self-motivation. SHOW ME you have what it takes! steph (COM) 11:30, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] missed class

Thanks for letting me know what's up. Good luck with things. Check the homework. See my note about wikiediting. steph (COM) 11:25, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Misplaced Pages

Hello. It looks like you're working on some kind of project for your class, but you created a bunch of pages in the Main namespace which should be subpages of your class page. For example, Unit 1 Paper Discussion Page should be Class:Section 71 - ENG 112 - Spring 2007/Unit 1 Paper Discussion Page or similar.

Please read Help:Namespaces and Help:Subpages for more information and move the pages to their proper location. You will have to update any links that point to them as well. If you have questions, please ask on my talk page. Thanks! --GMorehou(talk) 17:54, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

I noticed the note you added to Wiki Team Work. Experimental pages should be created as a subpage of your user page, as I think you've now figured out... please take care of the pages you made which are listed in Category:Misplaced Pages by moving them elsewhere (for example, to subpages of User:TheFlyingScotsman). Instructions on how to do this can be found at Help:Namespaces#Fixing_misplaced_pages. After they are moved out of Main you can take the {{MisplacedPage}} stamp off them. Thanks, and don't hesitate to ask questions on my talk page. --GMorehou(talk) 23:58, 29 March 2007 (EDT)
Hi again! Sorry, forgot to mention, but if you've copied a misplaced page to whereever it belongs and the original copy still exists, can you paste {{SpeedyDelete}} at the top of the old one? Then I can come along and nuke it later. (Just copy and paste it from this message, not the "tl" wiki code I used, that's different.) --GMorehou(talk) 22:50, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Awesome!

I especially like the work you organized for the wikiteam although I hope you're also integrating it in/with the rest of the team and the proposal page? I haven't checked it yet, so maybe you are way ahead of me.  :-) Meanwhile, no comment from you and no Unit 3 work? Hmmm...steph (COM) 20:20, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] (oops)

Then again....turns out you are one of the main culprits behind a message I got from the sheriff of this here wiki, Neurophyre. You, and the other wikiteam editors, of all people!, must get the coding correct.  :-/ If you can't figure out what you did wrong and fix it, don't do anything else until you know how to do it properly. Adam (btw) posted a wiki cheatsheet on his page...and of course there are hints and tips all over the UMass Wiki main site and our class to help you learn the proper coding. steph (COM) 20:23, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] sarcasm?

Hey, thanks for posting your paper. I kept thinking about our talk yesterday after class and what it is you are trying to accomplish with this essay. I think a point of confusion that could be clarified is if you sincerely believe Kothari is full of it or if you are wanting to write as if if she is? Each intent casts a slightly different angle on your writing, which you will want to be sure is clear to the reader (even if you do not say it explicitly). steph (COM) 14:33, 4 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] or irony?

I hope the discussion yesterday was helpful for you? I keep thinking that what you're after is humor, the sharp biting kind. Anyway, thanks for letting us use your paper for the exercise. In my view, the activity was a success for getting everyone engaged in considering the interplay of belief and doubt while reading and writing. :-) steph (COM) 09:24, 6 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] I FOUND TOM

[edit] another wikiteam message

Hey. Idea: busting up chronology. Posted on the wikiteam discussion page. steph (COM) 17:44, 5 May 2007 (EDT)

We were looking at the right place the other day. Looks like some of what he's done might overlap (?) with what some of the rest of you have done? Please coordinate! steph (COM) 17:14, 5 May 2007 (EDT)

[edit] go for those bib points

John? is divvying up the Penguin Points page so that there ought to be enough room for you to do up the rest of your Points. Your Jeopardy team did do pretty well today, but a few more baseline points won't hurt... steph (COM) 22:36, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

[edit] developments on the wiki front

Go read my feedback of the day. :-) steph (COM) 13:35, 13 May 2007 (EDT)
