Hello, and welcome to UMassWiki!

We suggest you read the following pages to learn your way around the wiki:

If you're here because you're participating in a class that uses the wiki, these two pages are very important to read:

And welcome to Class:Section 71 - ENG 112 - Spring 2007! Don't forget to explore rest of the wiki as well. You're welcome to edit anything on the wiki -- not just pages for your class.

Important: Since you're going to be editing pages for your class, the following two articles are very important:

You need to understand how to make subpages so your stuff ends up in the right place. Aside from all that, if you just want a quick-start guide on things like how to make text bold or how to make line breaks between paragraphs, try this downloadable and printable Cheatsheet. [edit] The Pratice of Identity

This article I was interested in because it can apply to anyone. Everyone is always thinking about how they portray themselves and how poeople make opinions about them. The opinions could be good or it could be bad. Every person likes to describe themselves in writing, speech clothing or actions, it just comes down to how one describes his or herself. People are self conscious so this article could describe to me why. Maybe it could give me the answer of the true identity of a person. Paul 15:05, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Reflection Letters

  1. Find Reflection Letter #1. Read Steph's comments and questions.
  2. If you can't find it, email me steph at comm dot umass dot edu
  3. Re-read your own Unit Two paper (on Anzaldua), thinking about the questions and guidance Steph gave you.
  4. WRITE Reflection Letter #2 and email it to Steph immediately so I can give you more feedback. (For examples, see your peers' Second Reflection Letters.)
  5. When you get my feedback on your second Reflection Letter (the paper about your paper on Anzaldua) take those questions and comments and apply them to your Unit Three paper.
  6. Write a third reflection letter (writing to yourself about what you are a) struggling with in your writing) and b) what you are learning/improving in your writing that shows up in your UNIT Three Paper. SEND THIS TO STEPH by the end of the weekend. I will give you more round of feedback.
  7. NOW you can write your Final Reflection Letter which is due Tuesday.

[edit] Feedback on Ltr #1

Paul, I gave you feedback again in case you were not able to find the handwritten original. steph (COM) 16:54, 17 May 2007 (EDT)
