Hello, and welcome to UMassWiki!

We suggest you read the following pages to learn your way around the wiki:

If you're here because you're participating in a class that uses the wiki, these two pages are very important to read:

And welcome to Class:Section 71 - ENG 112 - Spring 2007! Don't forget to explore rest of the wiki as well. You're welcome to edit anything on the wiki -- not just pages for your class.

Important: Since you're going to be editing pages for your class, the following two articles are very important:

You need to understand how to make subpages so your stuff ends up in the right place. Aside from all that, if you just want a quick-start guide on things like how to make text bold or how to make line breaks between paragraphs, try this downloadable and printable Cheatsheet. Aren't you something! :-) steph (COM) 14:39, 15 February 2007 (EST)

Hello (again!) Jessica. Don't neglect to read through the information and follow the links provided above. Notice I included the code for "Table of Contents" so you can copy it if/when you want. Also, don't forget to check out changes to the Homepage! steph (COM) 11:32, 18 February 2007 (EST)
Sorry I wasn't on the wiki as soon as you wanted me, but good thinking to email me with your question. I posted an answer on my discussion page, too, and also moved your question up to the "section" where you first posted. This little bit of organization will help me (if not others) keep track of what's going on, where, with who....I hope! :-) steph (COM) 12:24, 20 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] Home Sick

Hi Jessica, thanks for the info - I hope you are feeling better and we'll see you soon in class. I did get your paper.  :-) Hopefully you've had time to review the homework so you'll be prepared, but come anyway! steph (COM) 11:46, 15 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Good User Page Work!

The only thing that might fancy it up a wee bit is if you made separate links for each of the writing assignments. But hey, maybe I am overexcited by internal course linking. :-) steph (COM) 15:09, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Today: Tuesday April 10

Hi Jessica! It's 3 am in Sydney and I woke up but will probably not stay awake to harass all of you. Do me a favor, k? In case no administrator from the Writing Program shows up (that was the last tentative plan for today), help people get started, would ya?

I'm also going to ask Dan and John? to help folks get motivated and finish today's work, so that 'the duty' is spread around a bit. Thanks. Souvenirs for all! (Ask folks what they want, they can include that in their messages to me.) :-) steph (COM) 13:23, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Unit 3

Hey Jessica, no worries. I posted some comments on your project for Unit 3. Check 'em out.  :-) steph (COM) 03:18, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

Hey, glad my feedback helped! But :-/ it looks like you added internet sources, not print sources? You need both... steph (COM) 16:17, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Your Paper

I edited your paper, I thought that you did a very good job of presenting it. When you review it, it will look as if I just stopped editing your paper on the last couple pages, but it is just that I didn't see anything wrong with the ending. Your story was very compelling and it sent a very valid message. Spud 14:45, 15 February 2007 (EST)

Spud - ah, I remember this Peer Review that just stopped. I wondered - perhaps the seriousness of the content also slowed you down? In the future, it might be helpful to provide some statement about what is "going on" for you as the reader. Just a suggestion! steph (COM) 11:43, 18 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] from Annerrs

heyy jessica, what's up? Annerrs 14:48, 15 February 2007 (EST)

[edit] YYYo

Jessica, As far as I can see, my links to everything on my user page are still good and go to wherever they are supposed to go. I would be able to post another copy of the paper easily, or I could just use the history tab to resurrect the paper, so don't worry. I did the same thing so someone else, stuff can be replaced quickly once you know how the history tab works, although it is a bit complex. John? 12:50, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
