Thanks to the COM352 students for contributing a bunch of new pages! I'll be moving these pages into the main area of the wiki soon.

From UMassWiki
Hello, and welcome to UMassWiki!
We suggest you read the following pages to learn your way around the wiki:
- UMassWiki:Guidelines - important!
- Help:Contents - lots of editing tips, including a 1-page printable cheat sheet
If you're here because you're participating in a class that uses the wiki, these two pages are very important to read:
And welcome to Class:Section 68, ENG112! Don't forget to explore the rest of the wiki as well. --Neurophyre(talk) 15:30, 14 September 2006 (EDT)

[edit] from Steph
Ferris? Is that a new band? (I'm so OUT-of-it!) Or Ferris Buehler's Day Off? Don't even think about it. steph (COM) 20:17, 14 September 2006 (EDT)
- Hey, look what I did! I gave you a Table of Contents here, and I moved your comment to me up with your first comment - this way the conversation between us can be followed a bit more linearly (notwithstanding jumping back and forth between here and there. :-) steph (COM) 11:26, 17 September 2006 (EDT)
- It looks like you figured out how to do the link thing. :-) Who's posting without signing? Gonna hafta bust 'em. btw - you forgot to sign your comment on my User talk page too. :-( But hey, you could make it more friendly for me by creating a link that brings me Directly to your User talk page. Can you figure it out? :-) steph (COM) 23:13, 20 September 2006 (EDT)
Try Help:Subpages to remind you about linking pages. :-) steph (COM) 11:04, 25 September 2006 (EDT)
Yo. :-) I gave "For Emma" it's own subject line for the TOC. steph (COM) 14:35, 30 September 2006 (EDT)
- Diction and precision. That's the trick. Write what you want to say, then consider how you can say it better, more concisely, more sharply. It is a winnowing process. Not easy, but you'll feel the clarity grow each time you imagine a new, shorter way to get your point across. Can you go to that link I made off the homepage and post your combo attempt there? Thanks. If you want to send me a sample paragraph (one!) for my input (how to make it more concise) I can do a model for you. Post it here and leave a message for me on my user talk page, k? steph (COM) 16:16, 1 October 2006 (EDT)

- Mr. Frantic BoomBoom. Please be advised that neglected to add your signature to comments, assignments, etc., here in the class wiki will, in the future, be penalized. Please play by the rules! steph (COM) 23:15, 20 September 2006 (EDT)
[edit] Poopy Palace?
Hello, I noticed you created a new misplaced copy of this essay today, but you also created one that's a subpage of your user page at User:Aletr2elise/Welcome To The Poopy Palace. Is it safe to delete the other ones now? --Neurophyre(talk) 16:29, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
- Okay, maybe I do get a little irritated when I see 50 misplaced pages created all at once. ;) But, I signed up for this when I created the wiki, and I think the service I'm providing is worth it. I do need some more people to edit and patrol recent changes and such though, so if you'd like to contribute to anything outside of your class pages or see something that could use improvement, please feel free. --Neurophyre(talk) 19:16, 13 October 2006 (EDT)
[edit] excitedish?
Oh my. WHAT am I teaching here?!!! :-) so you want me to look at your Narrative in person? Can you email it to me? My schedule CRAZE-BUSY... email me kentcon at sover dot net and tell me what you hope me to read, see, find, comment on....what you worried about? What you want me to reinforce? Attach is cool if not WordPerfect. Can't open that, anything else (Word) should be fine. steph (COM) 16:54, 22 October 2006 (EDT)
Found this assignment of yours in misplaced pages area. Do what you like with it. Think it got lost when Stph deleted a quiz page.
