Writing my first assignment “Inquiring into Self”, I learned the real deal about college writing. College courses at any level is hard but when it comes to writing at that level it is harder because you have to thinking a lot more, use a big words to strengthen your argument if possible, and go trough multiple drafts until you are happy with the final product. The process of college writing is frustrating. One, you have to brainstorm everything that you know or want to put in your essay together to give you a rough draft (the easiest process). Second, you need to start making changes after receiving feedbacks from both your peers and teacher and make your writing stronger. For this process you either need to add on or to your paper or you subtracts. Finally, you need to polish the paper and make sure your argument is clear and always have evidence for support. Checking to see if there are any spelling errors, fragments, and take out any unnecessary words. Writing is hard and I am no perfect at it but I try, after all that is the reason why I am taking this class and also because it is a requirement.

I always knew that my writing level was not strong enough for college but I keep on trying to improve and it is working. After going trough the multiple drafts of my personal identity narrative, I am starting to get a better understanding of what are important and what are not to write in a paper. I know that to be a better writer you an individual needs to practice writing every opportunity they get. In my writings, I need to believe in myself and put my ideas together. I need to write as clear as I can so my audience can understand where I am coming from and the main point of my paper. As of now I can feel and see that I am becoming a better writer than I ever was and I know that is because of the feedbacks that I got from my peers and the teacher. I learned that without any help or feedbacks there is little improvement
