Well, Megan, I found parts of your biographical write-up to be very precise. Indeed, even snippets of the exact phraseology and context of the interview were preserved. That of course would lead me to believe that you took decent notes, which you then proceeded to stitch together in your word processing package of choice. Highlighting this theory of mine is that you were able to give a direct quote. These factual tidbits alone, however, do not make a well-rounded biography. Therefore, you were forced to make many inferences about me, some quite inaccurate.
For example, just because I like a specific food item that the dining common chefs prepare, does not necessarily imply that I like the campus as a whole. Indeed, to the contrary, I find Umass Amherst a bit large for my taste. In addition, my preference for loud and anarchic music does not inherently bear any correlation upon my disdain of athletic pursuits. Indeed, I know more than a few punks who revel in Monday Night Football and impromptu soccer matches. As for not wanting to leave the country, that is also an erroneous assertion. I would love to go backpacking somewhere; perhaps Mexico or Holland would be nice. I admit, however, that you were quite justified to leap to such a conclusion. When you asked me, “where would you like to go?” I said “the perfect concert would be awesome.” I also alluded to being highly satisfied with where I live, which is sadly not true. In retrospect, “moderately contented” would have been a more accurate reply. So, in other words, you get a free ride on that one. Lastly, you wrote that I'm not interested in reading. Wrong; it's just that it's hard to engage in intellectual pursuits when you are depressed as shit and your nerves are all jangly.
On that topic, you probably should have expounded more upon how I identified with Pink. I suppose, however, that I failed to convey how fucked up my brain chemistry was during my first few days at Umass Amherst. That was intentional, of course, based upon a combination of fear and embarrassment. Knowing that my interview would result in the production of a public wiki page, I chose to downplay certain things, while avoiding some topics all together. Frankly, you probably did the same! --Dave 21:12, 20 September 2006 (EDT)
