[edit] Analysis of Marie and "The Brick Wall

My impressions of you from the essay are that you do not like change. Whether you are afraid of it or just like the way things have been for the past 18 years, change is really hard for you. You probably came from a small high school or a town not so close to the city because when the comments were made, “Nobody that walked by me would recognize my face…,” and “I felt that I was lost in crowds,” I got the feeling that you were not used to being alone. You probably like to stand out and have people know who you are, merely because it is what you are used to. You probably always had a lot of friends and never felt alone before in your life. Another possible characteristic that I developed from your writing was the idea that you think individuality is very important. Even though you may follow the latest trends, you hope that there is something about you that is very unique. You stated that it is very hard for people to be thrown into a new area and be their own person. This might mean that as much as you try, it is much easier to go with the flow of things. You also seem to be a very caring person. You like to know how other people are reacting to the changes surrounding them and enjoy listening to their problems as well and helping them. For instance, when you mentioned the World Trade Center, you were sharing what you remember from that day and how others were feeling. The sense of consideration for others really stuck out. One more thing that I also got from your essay was the feeling of anxiousness. Many of your paragraphs had a good point in them; however they seemed rushed with the comparison. You did not like to stay on one topic for a long time. This could show that you might not have been interested in this movie and wile writing hoped that you could find something that interested you more. MegFon 22:31, 20 September 2006 (EDT)
