[edit] Intro
Julia
Eng. 112 Sect 68
9/14/06
Julian **** has come to UMass from Andover, MA. In Andover, he lives with his parents and older brother. Julian was raised Jewish but does not practice. He considers himself to have strong morals and values and enjoys the community of the Jewish culture but does not follow the religion itself very closely. Upon coming to UMass, Julian is focusing on studying psychology and is in the Psych TAP program. Julian’s primary branch of study in the field is neuroscience and the general behavior patterns of human beings. Interestingly, one of the qualities Julian prides himself on is his introspection. He finds it important to take time to think about his own feelings and thoughts. While at UMass, Julian plans to join the UMass photography club to pursue his interest in the activity. In addition to visual arts, he spends his spare time playing drums. In conjunction with his interest in drums, Julian likes to listen to classic rock music like The Who, The Doors and King Crimson. One of his other favorite activities is reading. Two of the authors he admires most are Charles Dickens and Madeleine L’Engle. Aside from his hobbies, Julian has traveled to two countries outside of the U.S. Most recently, he went to visit extended family in Mexico with his brother. Having studied Spanish in high school, Julian was looking forward to speaking the language to his relatives. However, to his disappointment, the family spoke to him mostly in English, which was disheartening. Despite this, Julian enjoyed his time in the country. As for his time at UMass, he is hoping to be successful and have a good time.
