Unit Three

For unit three I will address the concern of clean energy and the impending circumstances our nation will face if patterns in oil consumption do not change. I will address specifically the problem of vehicles that have low gasoline efficiency, and the possibility of hydrogen fuel cells as an immediate alternative. Hydrogen fuel cells are a topical alternative which possess potential to power future vehicles and, with certain alterations, those currently on the road. The concern of global warming and the near depletion of oil in reserves across the globe has sparked much debate over the sustainability of high energy consumption associated with suburban living, and the ability to carry on with current rates in the immediate future. I will address my letter to a known authority, most likely a company that holds responsibility for emissions controls on vehicles nationwide, or a known oil marketer whose profits depend on the increasing flux of our nation’s oil needs
