[edit] English 112: Writing Pieces
- Unit I Paper: The Past: A Present Toward The Future This is a piece that speaks about a personal identity narrative. I gave insight about my life by touching upon schoolwork, family, and friends.
- Unit I Reflection Letter: Dear Anna After I wrote about my personal identity, I wrote a reflection letter to myself that discusses my own style of writing in particular.
- Unit II Paper: A Clashing of Cultures This is a piece that speaks about the interaction of texts. I talked about what it means to assimilate to an American culture in the view of an ethnic person by using Geeta Kothari's "If You Are What You Eat, Then What Am I?" (The Text-Wrestling Book, p.21-30).
- Unit II Reflection Letter: Ma Deuxieme Réflexion Lettre After I integrated my ideas with Kothari, I wrote a relection letter to myself about my writing process compared to my first paper. (What I improved on, What I still needed to work on.)
- Unit III Paper: The Fifth "C" of Diamond Shopping For unit III, students had to write a paper about "Adding to the Conversation." By interacting with a variety of texts, I wrote to raise awareness and stop the circulation of conflict diamonds.
- Unit III Reflection Letter: Writing With Growth
- FINAL Reflection Letter: "My thoughts are different on paper. In print, my thoughts are concrete; my thoughts become real."
