The Monkey Bar and Bistro 63 is a combination restaurant and bar in Amherst.
Bistro 63 serves an eclectic mix of cuisine in a contemporary and hip atmosphere. There is a full bar and dining room in the downstairs area, and another bar and patio seating area upstairs.
Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the upstairs at The Monkey Bar opens for night time dancing with a DJ spinning. If you are looking for a fun place to dance and listen to top 40 hits, this is the place! The cover charge is $4. Inside there is a sizeable dance floor, but the dance room gets unbearablly hot - sweaty hot - due to the lack of ventilation. The music is hip-hop with a good amount of southern bounce.
The closing time is 1:30am (1:18am in reality), compared to 2:00 (1:52am in reality) in Northampton.
