Talk:Mission: Improvable

From UMassWiki

I came across this site by accident, and it seemed...incomplete. I added the early history of the group for those that might be interested. I actually saw Mission: IMPROVable perform with an all male group at Theater Sports at ImprovBoston in 1998. I was the celebrity judge that night. After the show, the guys told me about Dana and all he had done, and the resurgence after Brian and I had left in 1994. I married Gail Bishop who I met through Mission: IMPROVable in 1998 and she and I still perform together with ACME Improv Company in Maynard, MA. M.I. meant a lot to me back then, and I am glad to see it has continued with such astounding success and popularity.

I tweaked the early history a little bit. I came across a stack of old pictures and newspaper articles from the early '90s while searching in my basement, they helped me fill in some of the gaps and fix some of the small mistakes. Especially notable is the mention of Katie Cope who Brian and Sam give much of the credit for starting the group, though by the time Mission: IMPROVable got its name and had found its identity, Katie had already graduated. So even though they might disagree, I feel justified in claiming that Brian and Sam built the group into what it became and I have no problem assigning them the credit.
