Student Union

Student Union, west entrance

The Student Union houses several eating areas and student-run businesses, and is located near the library. A tunnel connects to it from the Campus Center. It is also home to many RSOs and other student-run organizations.

• The Hatch, a food court-style dining area in the basement with chicken, gyros, burritos, noodle bowls, soup & bread bowls, etc.
• Earthfoods Cafe, a student-run vegan and vegetarian eatery on the ground floor near the south entrance
• People's Market, a student-run nonprofit shop with bagels, fruit, soy milk, and so forth -- all allegedly from fair-trade sources

• Campus Design and Copy, a student-run copy & design shop. Prodiving everything from $.10 photo copies to graphic design and course packets.

• Student Union Art Gallery, located on the south side of the building. It is the oldest gallery on the UMass Amherst campus and is entirely student-run.
