The Student Government Association (SGA) is a campus-wide body of students that serve as the official liasion between the student body and the administration. Consisting of a wide variety of organizations and agencies that fall under one name and budget, the SGA has both elected and appointed individuals.

The most frequently commented on individuals in the SGA are the President, Trustee, and Speaker of the Senate. All three are elected officials, although the Speaker of the Senate is elected by the Senate body and not by the actual student body. Also in the SGA are Area Governments, elected by students living in the various residential areas.
