First Week

UMass First Week is the appropriate name of the first week that students are back at campus after summer break. In order to get new and returning students excited for the year, the week is filled with fun events. Some yearly events include a "Welcome to UMass" barbeque on the library lawn, lessons on using the UMass bus system, "Minuteman Mall Mania" at the Hampshire Mall which stays open late for UMass students, and lots of other stuff!
Comedian Lewis Black is scheduled to perform on Saturday, September 9th, 2007, at the Curry Hicks Cage at 8pm. Tickets for UMass students are $10 and are availible at the Fine Arts Center Box Office.
