Fencing Team

The University of Massachusetts Fencing Team is a RSO at the University of Massachusetts. They participate in the Northeast Fencing Conference, the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference, and the United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs (USACFC). The UMass Fencing Team has won the USACFCs twice since their inception in 2002.
The team welcomes all members, regardless of experience. For those with no prior fencing, they offer two novice classes a year - one in the fall semester and one in the spring, which all prospective members are required to attend before joining the team. Interested students can attend a free five-week course that teaches them the basics of fencing. Once the novice program is over, they have the option of joining the team as either a competitive member or an associate member.
