Thanks to the COM352 students for contributing a bunch of new pages! I'll be moving these pages into the main area of the wiki soon.
Class talk:Section 71 - ENG 112 - Spring 2007/Wiki Editorial Team
From UMassWiki
Talk to the wikiteam editors here. So far, a bang-up job! [Especially from those of you where I've found evidence of work. Ahem.] steph (COM) 20:08, 4 April 2007 (EDT)

wiki cheatsheet?
There are several tools for helping one learn to navigate and work the wiki, Adam found one in addition to the ones I posted near the beginning of the semester. Up to you to consider if/where they may be useful for our current class... (or yourselves). :-) steph (COM) 11:30, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

Let's not lose this page: Class:Section 71 - ENG 112 - Spring 2007/Jana Natya Manch UMass Performance ... (assuming it does get something posted to it). steph (COM) 13:53, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
WIKI-TEAM
So when is our upcoming meeting scheduled? Also, I have talked to Steph and she said she'd prefer it if the homepage had some sort of an attention-grabber to hook the viewers in onto our class page. Any suggestions? Last year's class had images and animations on their homepage so I thought maybe it would be a good idea to include some on ours. That way, our homepage could at least look more appealing. Another thing that I liked was how their homepage included a list of the class members on the Wiki and since Jessica had suggested it too, maybe we could do something with that. If you guys don't have any objections, then I'll start working on it right away. All in favor say "Aye". Annerrs 19:55, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

busting up chronology
Hey, so it occurred to me that maybe it would be cooler to start with the Unit Three and Unit Four papers instead of Unit One and Two? I'm not sure if a full reverse order is best (This I Believe, to Conversations, then to Anzaldua & Kothari, and finally, Personal Identity Essays? Or some other sequence, but we do not have to limit the way this is finished to fall along the same lines as the class itself actually progressed in real/linear time. steph (COM) 17:43, 5 May 2007 (EDT)
Feedback
First of all, the editor of the UMass Wiki noticed the work you've done and complimented you. :-)
I told him that I am proud of you. Things are definitely shaping up!
- I wonder about a TOC underneath the icons and quicklinks? I'm doing more scrolling than ever, now :-/ But maybe you have a plan for that, too? I don't remember/know the details of all that you planned to do.
- Also, someone has to load and organize the magazine files....they are not quite done but we'll get them to you asap.
- and (!), how about Penguin Points first in the Quick Links section?
- PLUS (!), well, you figure out how to organize the reflection letters and papers, just be aware that the four units and the (complete set of) reflection letters constitute FIVE total major assignments. Ok? tanks.

Hmm. I noticed the "file" info for all the photos that TheFlyingScotsman inserted. Can that be moved to the bottom of people's pages? Or stored somewhere else?
- Also, can we tuck the directions from Neurophyre/Gmorhouse also at the bottom? Or....delete them completely? I'm not sure what to do about/with them....if (off chance) any of the students return to this at some point in the future they might still need them. Ideas? steph (COM) 14:06, 13 May 2007 (EDT)
uh oh
I noticed something. It doesn't look good. :-/ Those "file" pages with the icons? Have they completely replaced individual user pages? I was just looking at
. Oh.....maybe these are stored somewhere else and you have not yet added them to each of the student's actual User Page? Gee, that would be a huge relief for your mildly panicked teacher! steph (COM) 17:28, 13 May 2007 (EDT)
