Class:Section 68, ENG112/Debrief III

From UMassWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

On DAY 5 (special guest, Puru Kulkarni):

Please don't forget to freewrite on your experience of meeting/listening to a writer face-to-face after reading their work. Also, consider the key distinction between identity and position.

The online quiz regarding the course syllabus and grading so far has only one question. Please post your answer prior to class. KEY: do not duplicate what someone else has written. If you agree or disagree with a particular response, explain why. If a combination of responses gets you thinking about something, trace how. In other words, persons who post later should write in context of/to/with the posts that have gone before. Questions? Ask here!

I would still appreciate responses to the following:

Question 1: Should I let comments in this section "stand" or replace them each week? They are in this page's wiki history (tab above), but that isn't so easy to read. Maybe a link to a separate page, where anyone can go and read my on-going commentary and/or find previous comments easilly? For instance, I want to remind you again how terrific your Wall essays are.  :-) Please answer here if you have an opinion.

Question 2: I just posted a link from my weblog to your introductions. Ethically, I should have given you informed consent forms already, but a) I didn't realize the potential this class has to be integral to the rest of my intellectual life and b) I haven't had time to pull it together yet. So, please go check out the context. If you have ANY questions or concerns, post them here or email me. Thanks.

Did someone give Julian his paper? The one I accidentally gave to the wrong person?

We have to seriously consider how to keep this wiki user-friendly so the next group doesn't say, "Oh, the writing is good but the site is SO DisORGaniZED! Don't be shy about adding in extra stuff (like Elise did) if you wish.

Exhortation: I know this first round of personal/identity narratives is completely open-ended. We will narrow the criteria for your second draft but for now, focus on what you want us to know about you. Be real. steph (COM) 23:36, 21 September 2006 (EDT)
