Thanks to the COM352 students for contributing a bunch of new pages! I'll be moving these pages into the main area of the wiki soon.

Steph continues to write about YOU

Are any of you reading and thinking about this or
is it a non-issue? steph (COM) 17:55, 3 October 2006 (EDT)

One of my supervisors is quite concerned that some of you are afraid to tell me that you do not want to post your work publicly in the wiki. I do know many of you are hesitant, and I appreciate that you've been willing to take the risk so far. You do need to know - and believe - that you can tell me you simply can't/don't want to. Of course I want to persuade you to continue! I think we are doing something radical (in the sense of revolutionary), but not everyone wants to live on the radical edge (it definitely has its dangers - some of which are predictable and can be prepared for, others are random and catch you by surprise).

I don't know how many of you actually checked the post I made last week in which I included a link to the list of Introductions and another post in which I included a link to Andrew's critique of "How to run a good wiki class" (which apparently still hasn't happened? sigh).  %-/

This morning, I wrote about you again. I have all kinds of pedagogical and philosophical and political (gasp!) reasons for trying to integrate our class' wiki and my own weblog. However - this moves us (you!) even further into the public sphere (as opposed to the usually sheltered, quasi-private sphere of traditional classrooms).

Are you ok with this? You really must inform me if you are not. I won't punish you. (too much). No no, I really won't punish you at all.  :-) I can't. It's against the rules of my contract with the university and you know what? It is also against my ethics.
