I have your Final Reflections if you want them. Arrange with me via email or my discussion page. Also, if anyone wants one (or more) of your essays considered for publication in next year's student anthology let me know asap. "The last day to submit essays for Anthology is March 15. We are only accepting the essays along with the signed permission slip from instructors." steph (COM) 13:29, 6 February 2007 (EST)

Hey men and women, Mike here. I made a separate writing forum which can be used by any writing class, and furthermore any person interested. If anyone would like to help bring together a campuswide (or wider) writing community, go to http://umasswriting.proboards61.com/ and sign up!

Class E-Zine

Paper gets damaged or misplaced in the shuffle of life. Memories should not, however. To that end, we have put up an electronic copy of the magazine that our class produced. To promote accesibity for all, it is NOT in the abominable PDF format.

"Wikimedia for Dummies"- A User's Manual

Our class Wiki runs on a software package called Wikimedia, the same one that Wikipedia utilizes. As one might imagine, any programming language powerful enough to support a site as large as Wikipedia is going to have a learning curve. Therefore, we have created a tutorial on WikiMedia syntax and useage tailored to UMass Wiki class usage. That way, you won't end up like that poor bloke on the right!

Privacy Rules and Informed Consent (read this before creating a username)

All students had to sign a student-drafted agreement to help buttress our Wiki against a hostile English department.

We recommend that new Wiki classes create their own privacy agreement before they create usernames. Think about how you want to be recognized by an internet public, because your pages are likely to end up in web searches. How much privacy do you need to feel comfortable?

Fun Stuff To Do

We know college is primarily about work :D, but every now and then, even the most harried student will have some free time with which to "wig out." Rather then getting your mugshot taken at one of those townhouse parties, we'd like to suggest some constructive alternatives.
