"Damn your Ethics!

• How many baseline points do you need to have? Fifty. More than fifty is a cushion against future losses but will not improve your overall grade for the course.
• If you have more than fifty, concentrate on rewriting and improving the quality percentage of your grade.
• Chances for additional baseline points will be added weekly until the first week in December. After December 4 there will be no more chances!

Citing references in blogposts

Beginning with the homework for November 13 (due November 15), you may earn one point for every quote you use a) in context that b) furthers the conversation. You need to show your critical thinking skills and awareness of the rhetorical situation.

Dialogue under Occupation?

Read Steph's post “the sordid process of nation creation and occupation” (quoted from checkbox). (Now posted!) Contribute to the conversation! Summarize the main issues, concerns, points-of-view, return to the originals to clarify original meaning, and otherwise explore the various meanings of "occupation." (Only the literal? Is the literal worse than metaphorical? What types/kinds of "occupation" do you experience, and how do you cope with them? Are you able to dialogue about the occupations that contain, limit, or otherwise constrain and effect you/your consciousness and/or ability to act freely in the world?
