Weeks 1-4
There was a grand intention to post results from the Week 1 peer and self evaluation form. A handout was distributed: "What I need in order to lead," that was compiled from your answers; a second handout was prepared: "Individual Decisions from the first day of class" which was not distributed until Week #13. Now we know that instead of what you needed to know to lead, you really needed to know how to be a member!
The second day's self-evaluations were organized and posted by Steph.
Results from Week 3 were also posted previously.
Where are the peer evaluation results from Week 4? Only in the excel spreadsheet Steph is using to keep track of information for
- the study of our group dynamics and
- providing you with individual feedback from all of your peers.
We did, though, take a test that captures some of where we were, then. There is also some summary of our discussion during that class session.
Week 5
These peer evaluations were focused only on those who participated in the day's fishbowl. One point allotted for each individual evaluation provided, including yourself.
There was also a test this week, in which you gave feedback to Steph.
Week 6
This was the "midterm" week in which I asked you only to evaluate the members of your own Schein Team. This was the last day of the original Schein Teams, as we broke up the "self-oriented behaviors" group and divided the task group into two functional types: task and maintenance. We kept the communication and decision-making teams. Some people took advantage of the shuffle to switch from their original teams (randomly assigned by the kind of candy you drew out of a paper bag) to a new team of choice (now having more familiarity with the content/focus of each team). Points allotted for each person that you evaluated (one point each).
Week 7
From Week 7: recall this is the week that I asked you specifically to praise someone whose performance in class has truly stood out and impressed you; likewise I asked you to select someone you had difficult understanding or otherwise felt that you could offer constructive feedback to. Additionally, I asked you to reflect on the Giver's Fact, that what you write to/about others actually gives us more information about you than it does about them. Points allotted for each person to whom you provided feedback (one point each) and for each distinctive Giver's Fact "note" that you wrote about yourself (one point each).
Week 8
Test 8 was designed with the hope of pushing us towards some kind of consensus on a way of labeling the gist of our classwork from the frame of a group-as-a-whole.
Week 9: Johari
The Johari Window assignment of your written work (via the wordpress weblogs) was made in lieu of in-class peer feedback. Results are published under Week 13.
Week 10
I had you turn in hand-written self-evaluations in which you rated yourself on your work for the day, and explained why. These were returned to you.
Week 11
This batch of peer evaluations relates specifically to the work you were beginning to do in your subgroup teams for the wiki. I encourage you to note two things in particular: is the feedback consistent or different than what you've received previously? Does the feedback match your own self-assessment or not? Whatever discrepancies and similarities exist ought to put you in mind of the Johari Window. Points allotted for naming both of your subgroup teams, for each member you evaluated, and for each role label you provided.
Week 12: Dot-Star
This evaluation system was designed/approved and recommended by the Evaluation Team.
Some of you were fairly generous with giving each other stars, some of you less so. Not very many dots were assigned. A "star" means work above and beyond what would normally be expected. A "dot" means you did not achieve the basic contribution expected by your peers in this classroom setting. Points allotted for stars & dots, along with filling out all the details requested in the form.
