The Campus Pond is a man-made pond right in the middle of the UMass campus. It is bordered by the library lawn to the west, the Fine Arts Center to the south and dam and the Campus Center lawn to the north.
The campus pond is artificial and requires periodic draining and dredging. It is not so good for wading.
[edit] Wildlife
The pond is host to ducks and seagulls. Also, a flock of Canada Geese regularly winters at the pond.
