Campus Center

The Murray D. Lincoln Campus Center is a centrally-located building on the UMass Amherst campus. Shaped somewhat like an upright waffle iron, it is one of the more recognizably ugly landmarks on campus next to the Lederle Graduate Research Center which towers menacingly over Northeast.

The Campus Center houses several eating establishments, the Campus Center Hotel, the University Store, a ballroom, and a number of conference rooms which may be booked fairly easily.

There is a tunnel near the west entrance which connects to the Student Union underground. The tunnel houses a FedEx location, a barber shop and a STA Travel, a travel agency.

[edit] Dining and drinks

  • The Bluewall features regular Dining Commons style chow as well as vegetarian fare, pho (vietnamese noodle soup) and so forth.
  • The Graduate Lounge, reopened on a trial basis as of Fall 2005, is a bar serving lunch, alcoholic beverages and coffee. It also features art exhibits and a relaxed "friendly, study-oriented atmosphere." If it does not receive enough business during its trial reopening, it will likely close.
