CMPSCI 591U

CMPSCI 591U, Interactive Web Animation / Fundamentals of Graphic Communication, is a class which teaches interactive web animation skills using Macromedia's Flash MX (or Flash MX 2004) and Actionscript. If you can't afford the Flash software, you can use the machines in the lab in LGRT 217.

This section contains examples of animation techniques and styles, both in Flash and not in Flash. If you need to host an example someplace to link to it here, you can host it on your OIT web site account. Information on how to do that is located here.

- Clip from Bob Sabiston's Animation Tutorial on the DVD extras - 44.7MB DivX
- Opening scenes of the movie which are shown in the above Bob Sabiston clip - 14.4MB DivX
- Death and Reality - a scene which details some of the subtleties possible with this type of animation - 46.8MB DivX
- Clips won't play? You probably need a DivX codec or application that can play DivX content.
- Windows: All-in-1 codec pack will play in Media Player (9.4MB)
