Baker is a residential hall in the middle of the Central residential area. Baker is co-ed and has one 24-Hour Quiet Floor. Baker features an airhockey, pooltable and foosball table. This dorm is known to some as being a "hippy" dorm, most likely because the odor of marijuana permeates the hallways during most times of the day. It was named after a UMass President Hugh Potter Baker, and was built in 1952. In 2005-2006 its President was Stephen Kuselies. Its Vice President was Chris Burati.
