Amherst Brewing Company

Amherst Brewing Company, commonly referred to as ABC, is a local brewpub (pub that brews their own beer) and restaurant located in the uptown area across from McMurphy's. It opened in 1997 and is located in downtown Amherst. They serve several beers that are brewed on-premises, local microbrews of their own and fried Oreos for dessert, enough said. It has two floors - the first floor has a restaurant kind of look and the second floor is more like a bar.

On the lower level, Amherst Brewing Company serves burgers and other typical American fare as well as daily specials like sirloin steaks and stuffed pork roast from a full menu. The lower level includes a bar, patio, and dining room.

Upstairs is a pool hall complete with juke box, foosball, and bar which serves from a limited menu. This is a great place for a casual meal, a game of pool, and a pint of ABC's own brew. At night you can play pool while having a beer or one of the house drinks like a "You're efffin Sexy," which tastes like Pineaple-upside-down cake.

It is quite spacious and conveniently located in the downtown. It is just opposite to Antonio's Pizza and just a couple of meters away from bus-stop.
