The intramural sports at umass has been a great experience for me. Intramural sports are great way for new students to meet people.I have met many people playing in different leagues that shared common intrest with me. Some of the people I met playing in these leagues have been my best friends for the past four years at school. Along with meeting people, intramural sports have helped me stay trouble free. By focusing on different leagues that I've been a part of as taking my attention away from trouble. It has been a great experience playing in these leagues and i would recommend every student to participate in intramural sports.

Being a senior at Umass I have found that the intramural sports program set in place here provides students with a great opportunity to stay healthy and active. It also provides a setting for people to meet new and exciting people. Some of my closest friends I have met here I play intramural sports with. Umass offers so many different leagues to play in. For the competitive former highschool athletes like myself who still need to have that action in their lives to the relaxed people who just enjoy going out and playing a game everynow and again and everyone in between, Umass offers it all. With competitive leagues to just for fun and co-rec leagues theres something for everyone.

My two favorite sports had to be flag football and basketball. These are the two most competitive leagues I have run across. There are many people who participate in both of these making it very fun. They split the teams into different divisions and you play each team in your division. If your teams qualifies for the playoffs it starts to get even more competitive. I havent been lucky enough to go very deep in the playoffs, but just the experience of playing both sports I will always take with me from my times here at Umass.
